What is 13 mesh canvas?
Mesh count refers to how many holes per inch the canvas has. 13 mesh canvas has larger holes, which means fewer stitches per inch and a faster finish. It is a great fit for beginners, bold simple designs, or anyone who prefers a quicker, more forgiving stitch.
Can I hand-paint this canvas myself?
Yes. This is blank, undesigned canvas, so it is ready for your own hand-painting, stitch charting, or custom design work.

18 Mesh Canvas
324 stitches per square inch
Best for
- Fine detail and small motifs
- Lettering and monograms
- Delicate florals
- Ornaments, fobs, and other small-format finishes
TLDR: 18 mesh has more threads per inch, so more stitches pack into the same space which makes it good for fine detail but slower to stitch.
